Incarnate Prayer.

You set me on this cursed earth

Born a babe in human mirth

Far from you, yet still one

Father lead me on and on

You’ve chosen what my thoughts will see

Human hearts and minds revealed

Yet moment by moment I don’t know

How far I’ll travail this stony road

With you I placed the stars in space

Yet daily I’m constrained

The hours passing swift and slow

How long, O Father, I can’t know

Through storms and sorrows I must go

Feel all the troubles here below

Knowing sin yet sinning not

Dear Father, this my earthly plot

Do not desert me here I pray

Come trials placed to pull away

Be my strength as flesh I wear

Remind me you are everywhere

O this wondrous act of love

To seek and save the lost

To Father orphans, call man friend

For your glory, Father, I have come.
