Spoken Word Mentoring
Create, improve, share
19th October 2-8pm
Come join us for a Spoken Word Poetry Workshop - a space to share, learn, and grow as Christian poets together!
Tell me more
How’s it going with you and Spoken Word? Loving the freedom to create but struggling to find opportunities to share? Know that you have a story to tell but can’t quite get the words out? Wondering how to connect the greatest story you know with the stories you tell?
We all have a story to tell and yet there are so many barriers that hold us back. As we workshop together we hope you leave feeling more inspired and equipped to create and deliver Spoken Word pieces.
How does it work?
This workshop will include…
Interviews
Space for each guest to perform their piece and receive peer feedback and encouragement
Collaborative performance piece
Time together over a meal
“I would really recommend The Greenhouse to others! I found when I came to deliver my talk I was much more calm and I felt I knew the material really well. I don’t think this was due to the amount of time I took to write it. I think it was the discussion and thinking and prayer around it, that made my talk something I delighted in, as well as a message to share with others.”— A Passion for Life Easter Greenhouse
What People Are Saying about The Greenhouse…
“In a greenhouse, plants that need a bit of extra warmth can flourish and grow; seeds can germinate, and tender shoots can grow sturdier. This is what the Greenhouse Project aims to do with the ability and confidence of women who may never have had the chance to develop these areas before. The church and student movements will have more vibrant, creative, Christ-glorifying evangelists who have a message to tell and can tell it well. They will also have new ways of telling it.”— IFES Europe
“It takes courage to speak of Jesus in a world where Christ crucified is seen as a stumbling block and foolishness. Therefore, it’s so important to create safe spaces where we can support one another as we do this. In essence, this is what the Greenhouse is all about.”
— Elaine MacDonald, Life in the Greenhouse

“It was both an inspiration and an impetus to try something new. The practical support and encouragement was also really valuable – thank you.” Susie
